To help you understand your invoice and payment options, please review the information below.
Outpatient & Inpatient Services
Our specialist services are privately billed and classified as outpatient services by health funds.
Because of this classification, health funds do not cover these services, even if they were performed while you or your baby were in the hospital (inpatient setting).
If you have Medicare, you can submit your receipt to Services Australia after the invoice is paid in full to claim any eligible rebates.
Common Outpatient Items Billed
Below are some examples of outpatient services you may see on your invoice:
Item 30278 – Tongue-Tie Procedure
Assessment and release of a tongue-tie (if clinically required).
Medicare rebate: $46.10
Item 110 – Initial Newborn Assessment
A comprehensive examination performed shortly after birth, assessing your baby’s heart rate, breathing, temperature, and overall well-being, including a head-to-toe check.
Medicare rebate: $151.90
Item 116 – Newborn Discharge Check
A clinical assessment performed before your baby leaves the hospital to ensure they are healthy and ready to go home.
Medicare rebate: $76.00
Item 116 – Review Check
A follow-up clinical assessment to monitor your baby’s ongoing health.
Medicare rebate: $76.00

Items on your Inpatient invoice includes an asterisk (*).
This means the service was provided while your baby was in the NNU. Whether it is covered will depend on your individual health fund policy.
Invoice Security
For your protection, your invoice attachment is password-protected. The default password is your date of birth in DDMMYYYY format. Ex: If your date of birth is 1 February 1970, your password will be 01021970.
Accepted Payment Methods
For security reasons, we do not request or accept payments over the phone.
You may pay using the following approved methods:
1. Bank Transfer
Pay directly to the doctor’s bank account.
Bank details are provided on your invoice.
2. Online Payment via Ezidebit
Use the secure Ezidebit link included with your invoice.
